Vivid Sydney will return August 6-28 2021. If there’s one place in the world where creativity, innovation and technology shine bright, it’s Vivid Sydney, a festival of Light, Music and Ideas. Each year Vivid Sydney brings together light artists, music makers and brilliant minds to share their creativity with you. The festival celebrates Sydney as the creative hub of the Asia-Pacific with large-scale light installations and projections, free family events, cutting-edge music performances and thought-provoking ideas talks, workshops and conferences.The festival has been instrumental in driving visitation to Sydney and stimulating the city’s visitor economy in winter, traditionally a quieter period for visitation. VIVID LIGHT
From 6pm each night mesmerising art installations and 3D projections transform Sydney’s architecture and open spaces along the harbour foreshore including The Rocks, Circular Quay, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Darling Harbour, Luna Park and Chatswood.
VIVID MUSIC
A cutting-edge contemporary music program featuring collaborations and performances from local and international acts at various venues in Sydney including Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House and X|Celerate, a collaboration between Vivid Sydney and the City of Sydney which showcases grassroots and emerging local music talent at venues across the city.

Listen to some of the world’s greatest minds, innovators and creatives for a program of public talks, industry seminars, conferences, workshops and debates exploring creativity as a catalyst for change. This is a forum for the creative industries to collaborate, foster business connections and showcase new ideas.
