Makeup mogul Kylie Jenner has Kylie Cosmetics collaborations with her sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe and her mother Kris Jenner — but has not teamed on a collection with sister Kendall. Until now, that is.
Kylie hinted during an Instagram Live video that a launch with her closest-in-age sister and Kendall + Kylie fashion line partner is in the works.
When a fan asked about the possibility of a Kylie and Kendall makeup collection, Kylie read the question out loud then winked at the camera and held a finger to her lips, Allure reported.
“You know Kendall was in a contract for a really long time so I couldn’t do a collab with her,” she says in the video. “That’s the only reason why I didn’t collab with her. But… you know, we worked it out.”
Kendall had a long-term contract with Estee Lauder to appear in digital, TV and print advertising from 2014 to 2017.
Kendall was ranked by Forbes as the highest-paid model of 2018, pulling in $22.5 million. She also has contracts with Fendi and Adidas, and it’s estimated she made between $500,000 and $1,400,000 for a recent Pepsi ad that was quickly pulled after criticism that it trivialized the Black Lives Matter movement, Harper’s Bazaar reported.
She also makes money from sponsored Instagram posts and from appearing on the reality show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
Kylie, also a model, launched Kylie Cosmetics in 2015, and recently was declared the youngest self-made billionaire ever by Forbes.
Kylie Cosmetics line now is worth $1 billion after signing an exclusive deal with Ulta in November.
Forbes attributed Jenner’s social media prowess, reaching up to 125 million followers, to the success of the cosmetics line, which also has a low overhead.
